Everything you need to know about the Tri-Cities farmers markets

The where, when, and who of locally produced goods.

Where has the summer gone?

With only one week left in August (seriously though, how?), anyone looking to get their hands on some of summer's sweetest fruits will need to act fast

Fortunately for us, there are a few farmers markets in the Tri-Cities that are the perfect places for gathering up all of the season's best bounty in a single trip!

You just need to know when and where to go to get in on all the deliciousness. And that's where we come in.

We've got you covered on everything about the farmers markets in the area, from the date and time they'll be operating, who will be there, what's on offer, and much, much more.

Check it out:

Also known as the Poirier Street Farmers Market, this venue has been running since 1996, making it the longest-running suburban farmers market in the entire Lower Mainland! The Market runs every Sunday from May to October at the Dogwood Pavilion parking lot in Coquitlam.

The market's hours are 9am to 1pm, though we'd suggest getting there earlier to make sure you don't miss out on the choice products.

When: Sundays from May 1 to Oct. 30Hours: 9am to 1pmAddress: 1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam, Dogwood Pavilion parking lot

Who says farmers markets need to take place on a weekend? The Port Coquitlam Farmers Market touts itself as "the perfect grocery shopping stop on your way home from work," as it runs 3 to 7pm every Thursday from June to September.

You'll find it at the Terry Fox Hometown Square by the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (yes, the new one), and it's the spot to go for artisanal goods and small-scale food producers.

Check out a list of vendors here.

When: Thursdays from June 2 to Sept. 29Hours: 3 to 7pmAddress: Terry Fox Hometown Square (behind the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, 2150 Wilson Ave.)

The farmers market that just. Won't. Quit.

The Port Moody Farmers Market is the Tri-Cities' most tenacious market—even in the face of the winter cold, as it runs at the Port Moody Recreation Centre parking lot from June 1 all the way through to April 30.

Sure, it switches from a summer market to a winter market once October turns into November (and from Wednesdays to Sundays), but if you ever find yourself needing that farm fresh fix, you'll know where to go.

Unless it's May, then you're just kind of out of luck. But let's not think about that.
