🍽 A local hidden gem

Bet you didn't know it was there!

Hey foodies!

Alas, earwax a normal week.

I’ve been doing some travelling down south and have some observations to share:

  • Salmon isn’t the same as salmon back home. We’re spoiled.

  • In-N-Out is marvellous. Is there anything that compares?

  • Everything is bigger.

Today’s a bit of a lighter edition, but it’s still packed. Let’s jump in.

HIDDEN GEM

Outpost in Port Moody is hidden in plain sight

📷️ Ina Fng

Driving by, you’d think this place was a showroom (because it is). Last year, Marcon converted their former condo and townhouse sales centre to a pop-up community hangout spot and hub filled with coffee, craft beer, live music, and more.

Across from Moody Centre Station, you’ll find Outpost, anchored by Timbertrain coffee and a bunch of local brands.

Here’s what some of our locals are saying:

“What a great little PoMo gem, looks like a showhome site from the outside but it’s actually this cute little cafe inside.” – ETC member Ina Fng

“I've always wondered about this place because on the outside, this place looks like a showroom. Inside it's spacious and loungey, it also feels like I'm in an art gallery… It was pretty neat to see so much going on in one space. I really like the little area for the kids to play and read.” – ETC member JoyCe Fung
