What's your perfect breakfast sandwich?

Hey Tootie Foodies!

Summer is slowly rolling to an end and many of us are suddenly faced with cold, early mornings fuelled with caffeine (and dread). As the bright rays begin to fade, we believe there’s no better way to start the day than with a warm, wholesome breakfast. Considered the most important meal of the day, it’s also the most comforting—think soft brioche buns, toasted bagels with cream cheese, runny egg yolks, and crispy bacon right out of the oven. Perhaps you’re envisioning something sweet, like french toast or a heavy stack of pancakes drizzled with maple syrup.

In this week’s edition, we’re talking about breakfast sandwiches. And not just any ol’ breakfast sandwiches (no siree!), we’re thinking about everything a breakfast sandwich can be—a savoury croissant stuffed with eggs, arugula, and dijon mustard to a bulgogi-stuffed breakfast burrito—exploring a whole new world of delicious possibilities.

WHAT’S HOT

Infinite breakfast sandwich possibilities in the Tri-Cities

When we say the words “breakfast sandwich,” what’s the first image that pops into your head? Is it a New York bodega-style sandwich with gooey cheese and scrambled eggs, possibly hit with a dash of ketchup or hot sauce? Could it be an egg, bacon, and cheese on a savoury croissant? Could it possibly not have any traditional breakfast sandwich items on it at all, taking the form of a crispy avocado toast drizzled with feta and balsamic?

Sufficed to say, this ain’t your regular list of breakfast sandwiches. We’re expanding our horizons this week and seeking out some of the most daring breakfast sandwiches the Tri-Cities has to offer, from classics to wraps stuffed with avocado and bulgogi.
